What Type of Eater Are You?
Destructive eaters usually need to hide or disguise their body because they feel vulnerable when they look attractive.
If they didn't feel safe and loved growing up, they ensure they have more than enough food to fill the emotional void. And, if food was restricted or controlled in their childhood, they go as large as life eating big portions and frequent meals to always have enough. They'd much rather dish out their own food than be served because they think they will not get enough food to feel full, they may even get angry. This type of eater certainly doesn't share food.
Destructive eaters have become used to eating too much because they have a bottomless well of feeling they are not enough in some way and there is no food that can ever top it up for them.
As a destructive eater, you need to understand that, although your conscious thinking mind knows you are an adult, your subconscious mind, the feeling mind, still feels you lack all the things you lacked in your childhood.
However, you are not that child anymore. You may even have your own family now and be surrounded by their love, or by friends or colleagues who respect, value and support you. You also know that you can have any food you want available to you 24/7, so there is no need to overeat.
Always remember and keep telling yourself that YOU are in charge of what, when and how much you eat. And believe that you are strong enough, smart enough and important enough. You deserve to have the body and life you want.
If you want to stop your negative childhood beliefs controlling your relationship with food, you can grab the bull by the horns and become the confident adult you truly want to be right now. Book your free 30-minute consultation and find out how I can help you.
